Following a successful competition last year, we’ve decided to hold another Design your own wildflower mixture competition.
We’ll pick our favourite wildflower seed mixture on 31st August, and send the winner 100g of their mix just in time for the autumn sowing season. Also why not include some Yellow Rattle? This too will help control grasses.
The rules are simple, the mixture can contain any of the species in the table below, and it’s free to enter. Follow the link below to begin the design.

It’s good to try and include a mix of grasses and wildflowers. We recommend about an 80/20 split of grasses to wildflowers. Try and include grass species like sheeps fescue, crested dogstail, bentgrass, red fescue and smooth meadowgrass.
