As the heatwave is set to continue, you may be wondering how the dry weather could impact your hosepipe usage. Well the good news, for now anyway, is that reservoirs are at reasonable levels, meaning that a hosepipe ban this summer looks unlikely.
The group Water UK, who represent all of the large UK water companies, stated that reservoir levels are as expected for the time of year. It’s easy to forget how wet March and April were, meaning that we entered the summer with higher than usual water stocks.
So the forecast is good, continue to water your lawn, and enjoy the sunshine!
